Rulings
Lurking Assailant's [Level 1+] ability allows it to retaliate against attackers even if that attacker isn't attacking Lurking Assailant. For example, if the opponent is attacking your champion with an ally, Lurking Assailant can retaliate. During that damage step, your champion will take damage from the attacking ally, and Lurking Assailant will deal damage to that attacking ally.
